Reza Hakim, DMD, MSPeriodontist
Dr. Reza Hakim received his first dental degree from Semmelweis University in Hungary. After practicing dentistry for a few years in the Netherland, he moved to the United States and received his second dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, during which he was recognized as “The Recipient of the Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award” by the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Hakim graduated with an Honors in Radiology.
He then pursued his specialty degree in Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. During his residency, Dr. Hakim received the prestigious “Arnold S. Weisgold Director’s Award”, which is given to the best resident of the class. Enjoying teaching and basic science, Dr. Hakim received his Master of Science in Oral Biology and is currently clinical assistant professor at the Periodontics Department at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hakim lives in Philadelphia with his wife Dr. Asal, who is a pediatric dentist and they enjoy playing tennis and traveling in their free time.
